Resident Evil, being a series, always has codes and secret safes for players to find. In most cases, these codes grant players access to valuable upgrades and treasures. While the same can be said for Resident Evil Village, the series; the most recent part, players will need to find these codes to progress the game. Here are all the doors and safety codes in Resident Evil Village, along with their rewards.
There are three codes that players can crack Resident Evil Village. Two of them are needed to progress the game and can be found after you defeat Donna Beneviento. That being said, you’ll need to jailbreak the first two to get one step closer to defeating Donna.
Factory safe – 070408
After defeating Lady Dimitrescu, the player will find themselves back in the village. The Merchant guided them to the house with the red chimney to find a special item inside. When they get to the house, they will see a tractor blocking the road. You’ll need to find a jack to raise the tractor high enough for Ethan to get under.
Players will come across a small workshop located in its own secluded area. They will find a sticky note that says “Look out the window”. When looking out the window, the player will see a series of numbers drawn on the wall. Prepare for a scare when a Lycan shows up. Thankfully, there’s only one Lycan to deal with, and killing it should be easy.
Enter the code – 070408 – into the safe to open and reveal the reward. Inside, players will find the M1911 automatic pistol and the jack needed to lift the tractor they passed earlier. Jack it up, get down and continue to the house with the red chimney.
Bloody Ring – 052911
Ethan finds himself trapped in a room with a creepy dummy made to look like Mia. When he disseminates the dummy, he will find a bloody wedding ring on its finger. Interact with the mannequin’s hand to remove the ring and add it to your inventory. Then, go to the door leading to the next room and turn on the faucet. Wipe off the blood on the ring revealing the code 052911.
Go back to the other room and enter that code in the door to unlock it. From here, the player will adventure back down the path they came from until a door opens on its own. They’ll find the music box from Ethan and Mia’s house inside and will need to use the scroll key to play it. Hopefully they’ve explored every nook and cranny of that Mia effigy.
Maestro’s Treasure – 270917
On the way back from Donna Benviento’s house, Ethan will run into the gardener’s house. If Ethan had found the Maestro’s house before, he’d have read a note mentioning that the gardener was holding the key for safekeeping. The player will find the key of Luthier (The Maestro) inside the gardener’s house. They’ll also find the Beneviento Maze puzzle. The ball for her Maze puzzle is located in a small graveyard nearby.
With Luthier’s key in hand, head back to the village and make your way to Maestro’s house. It will now be marked as an unopened treasure on your map, thanks to The Duke. Use the key to enter the house.
Once inside, notice a drawing taped to the wall. The code in question, written in crayons, is 270917. To the back of the Maestro’s house is a locker where all the instruments are kept. Enter the code to find a valuable treasure and upgrade your Sniper Rifle. This is the only secure code that players can skip if they don’t happen to find it. The other two are needed to move the game forward.
