Since debuting in 2018 with Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online felt like an outcast in the Rockstar family. It doesn’t get as much attention as GTA Online, it also doesn’t get the same kind of reduced content, and its player base is certainly not huge. But with a new update coming to the game that will add more content for every player, it’s worth wondering if now is a good time to finally get in. Red Dead Online.
If you’re a returning player (as I usually do), Red Dead Online never been much better. The game has received updates that, although sparse, have added more content. In addition to the simple story quests, you can take on a variety of roles to add depth to your game Red Dead Onlineof five states. Three other Telegram Tasks have also been added, with the promise that more are on the way. Red Dead Online getting even more matchmaking content, although it’s still not as thrilling as GTA Onlinestunt races.
Roles and gold
For new players, the story is a bit different. Red Dead OnlineThe first game of the game is not nearly as interesting as GTA Online‘S. In GTA OnlineYou can still steal planes, drive fast cars, or participate in small-scale robberies. Red Dead OnlineThe first game of the game is tied to its story missions, which are rather lackluster and bare. Worst of all, they don’t get you much money.
Make money in Red Dead OnlineThe current state requires two things: Time and gold bars. The latter is the premium currency of the game, which the player can slowly accumulate by completing daily challenges or finding treasures marked on the treasure map. However, you do not earn full gold bars at a time, with gold nuggets or 0.1 gold bars, which are paid out. That makes the process of earning enough money to buy your way into Red Dead OnlineInteresting and monetized content of a little tagline.
Almost Red Dead OnlineIts content is found in its roles, in which players take on various professions in the West. Even these jobs are a mixed bag, though, with some getting updates from Rockstar and others remaining unchanged from the release. The most exciting role by far is the bounty hunter, which allows players to tackle some of the game’s more exciting PvE missions. The bounty hunter role is so popular that Rockstar has added 10 more ranks to the role, along with some additional legendary bonuses.
In addition to bounty hunting, the player can become a trader, revolving around hunting, a naturalist or nature observer, a collector sweeping the West with metal detectors, or a hunter moon, this is one of the slowest earning roles in the game with. It seems like I’m saying these roles are all pretty boring, but that’s not it. They all have their upsides and downsides, but each makes the game more enjoyable without them.
Now, a lot of new content is coming Red Dead Online with it coming Update Blood money. On July 13, players will be able to start working in the organized crime arena, with just a twist of the Old West. It’s not yet clear what players can expect in terms of payouts from the role, but if Blood Money is full of free PvE content, it would certainly be a great addition to the game.
Red Dead Online has yet to really gain any ground since its release, but with Blood Money coming soon, it looks like 2021 could be the year that all changes. The game still needs more content to be an authoritative live-serve game, but at this point, things are looking for Rockstar’s black sheep.
