Bayonetta 3 is a title we haven’t seen much of since its initial reveal. Despite consistently absent from Live events over the years, Nintendo’s Japanese website shows that the third entry in the series is scheduled for release in 2022. Prior to that, the game had no release window.
Bayonetta 3 is an upcoming entry in the Bayonetta hack-and-slash action series, which began in 2009. The game was originally announced four years ago during the 2017 Game Awards. PlatinumGames has since said nothing about it. again. We have made many guarantees that Bayonetta 3Development for both Nintendo and Platinum has been going smoothly, but the lack of footage or even screenshots has fans a bit nervous. The release window offers a small glimmer of hope for fans.
If Bayonetta 3 release in 2022 as scheduled, it will join Splatoon 3, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. However, the release schedule may have one more surprise. A new Kirby game, seemingly titled Kirby: Exploring the Stars, appears as a spring 2022 release on the site. The page listing links to a dead page, which may indicate that this is a publishing error.
This new game’s thumbnail features Kirby looking out while standing in a post-apocalyptic city. Kirby is no stranger to dark worlds and even darker enemies, so this comes as no surprise.
With the Nintendo Direct coming out tonight, it looks like the Kirby game is supposed to be a surprise reveal throughout the show. Bayonetta 3 could also appear, but that’s less certain considering its vague release window. Nintendo says that the stream will primarily focus on games releasing this winter.
