Fortnite is a game in which every moment and decision makes the difference between early death and Victory Royale. Going to the wrong area at the wrong time can lead to failure if you’re not careful. Knowing where to land can start your game smoothly, potentially leading to victory.
Here is an updated list of the best places to land Fortnite for chapter 2, season 6.
Best places to land in Fortnite
To help decide where to start each match, we have the best places to land Fortnite right now, at the time of chapter 2, season 6. This part has big changes for lovers Fortnite maps and there are many NPCs scattered around to provide you with quests. You’ll also find new Spire locations and primitive creatures, along with new crafters.
This dramatically changes the game, including where best to land. Choosing a landing site is difficult, because of a number of impact factors. When deciding the best spots at the moment, we take into account the amount of loot, the number of players who tend to land there, the actual location, and the overall popularity.
Whether you’re someone who likes to fight all the time or just hide until most of the players are gone, we have a starting position for you so you can start properly in every game. .
Pleasant Park’s northern flames
Let’s start with a more skilled landing point: Pleasant Park’s northeast flames. Land directly on top, take the spawned loot, and then immediately look to the side to eliminate the assassin Spire. If you are on top, you should have no trouble getting rid of them so you can pick up their loot, which usually includes a purple primitive weapon. In homes nearby you’ll find more loot, along with lots of rocks to mine along the way. As always, be on the lookout for hurricanes, as it is easy to get caught in if you don’t pay attention.
John Wick’s home
There are many reasons to land at John Wick’s house. The main reason is that it’s not enough to allow you to stock up on the device before things get hot later on. Go on and land inside, loot as much as you can, then jump out destroying vehicles around the house to get the mechanical parts (don’t destroy the sports car though). Pay attention to the weapons you choose (we like pistols) as well as gold, and then when you’re ready you can talk to John Wick to upgrade your gun’s rarity. Then, use mechanical parts to create an even better version of the weapon. Finally, hop in John Wick’s car and drive east, and you will reach the Slurp Truck, which you can use to recharge your health.
Southern bridge of Colossal Crops
This landing position is a bit more difficult to handle as it’s closer to the center of the map, but if you’re confident in your skills, we strongly recommend giving it a try. This area is home to a lot of chests, making it ideal for storing equipment. There’s also a small pond that you can use to catch fish, along with lots of animal bones nearby. So if you are someone who likes to use primitive weapons, then this location is ideal due to the amount of animal bones you can find. After the raid is complete, head east, and you will reach a grassy area containing a bunker chest hiding in the ground. Just tap the emerging dirt to explore it. Bunker chests contain tall and rare loot, so you won’t want to skip them.
Small garbage intersection
Next up is the Junk Junction mini, an ideal location for the mechanical parts. Here, you will find tons of cars that have been built, almost all of which will reward you with a mechanical part. You will also find a lot of chests around this area. You can talk to the NPC here to upgrade your weapons, which you can also do while there. Once you’ve found enough mechanical parts, you can craft a purple version of whatever weapon you want (assuming you’ve found the base version along the way). This location is very similar to John Wick’s house but is closer to the center of the map and a bit more crowded due to its location.
North of retail
This landing point is very similar to Spire north of Pleasant Park, except that it is closer to the center of the map. The good thing is it’s not likely to be disputed, so land on Spire, get all the loot you can find, and once again, destroy the nearby Spire assassin. Doing so will reward you with a purple weapon, so you’ll be well equipped within a few minutes of the game’s start. Once you’ve got the weapon, you can continue looting around the area, as there are many houses with chests. This is an ideal spot for players who like to stick to the center of the map. Once you’re done, head back to the top of the Spire and use the platform to launch you into the air – a great technique for moving quickly.
The forest cries
When choosing a landing spot, it’s usually a good idea to think about staying in your comfort zone and doing so at the start of the jump. That’s one of the reasons we love to land at Weeping Woods. It’s close enough to the center of the map while still away from some of the more crowded areas. But besides that, you’ll find plenty of spoils in Weeping Woods, especially in cabins. Another benefit of landing here is for the campers you can destroy for mechanical parts. Trees also provide plenty of hiding places, so you have a much easier chance of dodging enemy fire.
In terms of sheer amount of resources, Logjam Woodworks is easily one of the best spots on the entire map. It has wood, chests, mechanical parts and an NPC that you can challenge to get a rare purple pistol. When dealing with NPCs, make sure you step back and attack with a long-range weapon. Once you’ve defeated them, grab a shotgun and continue looting around the area. But that’s not all. After you finish the looting here, head slightly northwest across the street. On the top of a nearby hill, you’ll find another bunker chest. Just remember to dig where you saw the dirt rise to get it. You should also keep at least one car in place so you can easily get out of the area.
The last spot is a very far away but ideal for players who prefer to step back and take things more passively. Of course, we’re talking about Camp Cod, a small island on the southeast side of the map. Specifically, the east building on this island has a lot of loot, so keep an eye out for chests and other items. There are also a lot of old cars nearby, so use those to hoard mechanical parts, then talk to the NPCs in the area to upgrade your weapons. Obviously you can fish here too, but just be aware of the storm, as it’s easy to get into a bad spot. With this landing point, we normally only recommend visiting it if the Battle Bus shows up near it. If not, you may run out of time due to running out of gas.
