Players reported that Amazon’s multiplayer game New world are packing their gaming PCs. The problem seems to be related to the EVGA RTX 3090 graphics card, according to users who have experienced the problem. However, even players who are only using the RTX 3090 have reported that their computers are overheating and consuming large amounts of CPU power.
When someone mentions “brick” a device, they are probably using it in one of two ways. Many people use the term “brick” when a device is no longer working at the moment or hangs when trying to perform a task or run an application. Usually, with this definition, the user will need to restart the device. The true definition of “bricking” is when a device is completely destroyed and can no longer be used. Unfortunately, it seems the latter is happening more about New world beta players.
Players report that their graphics cards are stacked even when they are in the game’s menu. Even if New world without destroying the graphics card, players assume it is heating up their computer in extreme ways. It has been reported that New world heat up the computer more than other graphics intensive games like Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3.

Beta players are looking for a solution to figure out how to prevent their graphics cards from turning into very expensive paperweights. Many people suggest playing the game with a frame rate limited to 120 instead of playing New world with unlimited FPS.
New world slated to launch entirely on PC on August 31st.
