Aside from the tough launch, Outriders is proving to be an entertaining co-op experience. Produced by Square Enix and developed by People Can Fly, Outriders combine gun gameplay and combat movement of Gears of War with Destinylooter’s shooting mechanism. You will explore linear regions of your new home planet, Enoch, as you try to bring humanity back to the brink of second extinction. With the new superpowers found, you, Altered, will need to find and upgrade the equipment that is best suited for each character. Fabrication will be a major ingredient of Outriders‘ endgame. Here is our complete Outriders Manual tutorials and everything you need to know.
How to unlock crafting in Outriders
To start up Outriders Crafting instructions, let’s talk about how to unlock craft in general. You won’t be able to make bats. Turn on the main story until you meet a person named Dr. Zahedi. Once you have completed the stage of the Zahedi main mission, you will unlock your equipment and weapons upgradeability at your doctor. Approach Zahedi in your camp and talk to him. Choose I need to upgrade my device Dialogue option to open crafting menu.
Crafting menu navigation
On the left side of the crafting menu, you’ll see your currently equipped gear at the top, followed by your full inventory below. Select the piece of equipment you want to upgrade to place it in the ‘craft’ slot in the center. On the right side you will see the following list of crafting options:
Improve parity: Improved the rarity of the device to increase its main stats (firepower or armor) and get an extra mod slot. You can only improve the rarity of Extraordinary and Rare items.
Advanced properties: Raise the properties of selected gear using Shards. Attributes are the passive characteristics of a piece of equipment between firepower or armor and its mod. You will use Shards to increase overall attributes. The pieces, however, can be complex. We will cover them later.
Mod Gear: Changed mods currently fitted on a gear piece. However, only one mod slot can be changed. Once you change one, the other locks. Make sure you are satisfied with the mod locked. Mods of the same name do not stack. More info about the best mods and mod combinations later.
Level up: Upgrades an item to increase its main stats (firepower or armor) and roll back attributes. An item cannot be upgraded above the item limit that can be equipped. As you level up your character, your limit will increase.
Swap variant: Change the weapon variant to another currently available for this weapon. Weapon variations unlock as you reach higher levels.
You will get most of your crafting materials by dismantling your unused weapons and armor. However, marking the items you want to dismantle can get tedious. In the lower right corner of the inventory screen you will see three color boxes: Green, blue, and purple. Click the green box to automatically highlight each piece of Extraordinary Gear in your inventory. Blue will mark all your Rare items and purple will mark your Epic item. Now unmark the parts you want to keep, then dismantle the rest.
Crafting materials: What are they for and where to find them
There are four fabrication materials that we consider necessary for Outriders manual instructions. Each can be found while exploring different regions of Enoch. You’ll also find these materials when disassembling weapons, completing quests, and slaying elite enemies.
You will find more Leather than any other crafting material in Outriders. The skin drops as you kill creatures on Enoch and remove armor. You will use Leather to level up your armor, improve the rarity of Extraordinary items to Rare, and equip armor mods.
Iron can be obtained in a variety of ways. Mostly, you will find Iron by dismantling weapons. However, the Iron veins are scattered all over Enoch, identified as green patches that can be exploited on the wall. Keep your eyes open; These Iron veins can also produce the coveted Titan. Finally, you will see Iron as a common drop from human enemies. Use Iron to increase the rarity and level of weapons. You will also use Iron to equip the weapon mod.
Titanium is the most coveted crafting material in Outriders. It will be used to upgrade Rare equipment to Epic and increase the overall level of Epic equipment. You can crush Titan by mining iron, dismantling Epic and Legendary equipment, and killing mini-bosses and Elite. Redo sidequests with many Elite enemies to equip Epic gear and drop Titan. Either way, you’ll swim in the Titanium stockpile before you know it.
Get shards by dismantling weapons and armor. However, you must hover over the Shards icon in the crafting menu to see the full list. The pieces increase weapon and armor attributes. In the Increase Property menu, you will be told how much it costs to increase a particular attribute by Segments. A total of 12 different attributes you will receive Shards.
The best mod in Outriders
When it comes to choosing which mod to equip, it’s important to consider your level and style of play. For example, the Technomancer would heal by dealing damage. They basically have a passive, active leeche effect. It makes no sense to put many life leech mods on top. Instead, Technomancer players can choose from more damage states (Bleeding, Burns, Freezes, etc.).
Even though mods of the same name don’t stack, players can still manipulate mods to play against each other if they mention similar effects. Take for example the images above. Outrider’s Britches equipped currently modified with Thirst for Blood. This mod buffs weapon leeches up to 40% when an enemy hit by Bleed is killed. Now, Voodoo Matchmaker has been modified to feature Bleeding Bullets, causing Bleed to enemies. Along with Voodoo Matchmaker’s 9% live leech, Thirst for Blood heals the system significantly when they shoot and kill enemies infected by Bleed. This combo proves useful when Deceive is forced to fight from mid-range or long-range and needs healing. Also, if the Pyromancers have used up all their skills and are low on health, a life-boosting combo mod will appear.
Most of the mods in Outriders are related to how you play each character. Keep track of your currently equipped mods and get them to work together like a well oiled machine. However, we’ve put together some of the best weapon mods in Outriders.
Weapon mod compared to armor mod
The weapon mod of all levels can be used on all classes. The armor mods are, however, different. All level 1 armor mods are specific to each class. They have effects and buffs based on your class skills. For example, the screenshot above is of Trickster’s first tier armor mod page. The second tier armor mod can be used between all classes. These are the things you’ll pair with your status weapon mod to make them work in harmony. Finally, the tertiary armor mod could be either-or. However, you won’t be able to unlock any of these until later in the game.
Unlock new mods
You will find new mods to equip by dismantling the device with that mod attached. Grind the mod in the same way you grind any other valuable material Outriders: Kill Goblins and redo quests on high world levels. This increases the number of drops of your Epic weapon, thus increasing your chances in new mods. There’s no way to know which mod you haven’t unlocked yet, because hovering over a locked mod won’t tell you anything. Let them come with pleasant surprises as you continue to find and dismantle the device in Outriders.
Buy or sell unused equipment?
Most of your fabrication needs will come from dismantling unused equipment. The only thing players gain from selling equipment is Scrap. Scrap is the currency on Enoch and can be used to purchase new weapons and armor from suppliers. However, there is no reason to buy anything in Outriders until you reach endgame or soft cap. In short, dismantle everything you don’t use and stock up on your crafting materials. You will see why below.
When to craft and upgrade
Looter-like shooter Outriders, Destiny, and Marvel’s Avengers all have identical leveling mechanisms. As you progress the game, you’ll find better equipment to equip to increase your overall level. It’s your Light Level in Destiny; in OutridersIt’s your Firepower, Anomalous Power, and Armor. As you get better weapons and armor, these numbers increase.
You are free to craft, modify and upgrade all you want OutridersBut we don’t recommend doing so in the early and mid game, especially if you don’t find Epic gear very often. The number one rule to remember in shooters is “Have a better piece of equipment on the next mission.” The worst a player can do is upgrade and modify their entire equipped items just to find better equipment in the next corner, leaving them no more precious crafting materials. . Save upgrades and mods for the end.
However, if you find yourself wearing an counterintuitive armor that doesn’t suit your equipped weapon, you can spend some Iron or Skin to change the mod. Iron and Skin are easy to use; Titan does. Mod combo is essential to survive at higher world levels and higher world tiers is essential to finding better equipment.
