After Dead space The remake was revealed at this year’s EA Play Live event, today’s live stream finally gave us a look at the game, albeit an extremely early event. Streams hosted by developers Motive Studios, which previously worked on Star Wars: The Squad and Star Wars Battlefront 2, detailing what players can expect from the upcoming remake of the original Dead space position.
Stream presented a rich first look at one of the environments in Dead space, showing a major upgrade from the original game released in 2008. Dead space is using EA’s Frostbite engine, which has been used across multiple EA franchises, including Battlefield. Specifically, the remaster features advanced lighting techniques and other effects, like smoke and fog.
The developers at Motive also want Dead space to take more advantage of the current generation console. During the live stream, they expressed their wish for the game to not have any loading screens to allow players to fully immerse themselves in its setting, Shimura. Although the game will change thanks to the advantages of next-generation technology, it will remain the same in essence. Dead space was released in 2008. The remake will have the same plot, but will build on some of the characters a bit more. That includes its main character, Isaac, who will go on to be voiced by Gunnar Wright. In Dead spaceIn the initial release, Isaac was not voiced, with the character first talking in Dead Space 2. However, Isaac will be fully voiced in Dead space rework, do it again.

Viewers also got their first look at how decay, one of the key elements of the Dead Space franchise, will work in this remake. While the player can still take apart the monsters, the developers wanted the division of the organs to be as clear as possible and so they developed a process called “dissection”. Anyone who has played Doom Eternal should immediately recognize this feature when every shot takes away part of the creature’s body, with the skin and flesh also peeling off. Dismemberment will also require a bit more precision, with players needing to shoot multiple times at the same spot to sever an enemy’s limb.
The developers at Motive also emphasize that Dead space there will be no microtransactions. Microtransactions already in Dead Space 3 and was a major point of contention for players when the game was originally released.
While today’s stream reveals many early details for Dead space remaster, the game still has no official release date. Present, Dead space has a release window in the fall of 2022.
