Fate 2 Season of the Splicer is in full swing. The seasons bring new Override activity, the iconic Vault of Glass raid, and the unique Splicer Gauntlet (the new Armor Synthesis system is also here, but we won’t talk about that). Post-Beyond the light, the new season also brings new Stasis Aspects for each class, and in this guide we’ll show you how to get new Stasis Aspects from Season of the Splicer.
More Destiny 2
Before you can start the new Stasis quest, you need to complete the Born in Darkness quest from Beyond the light as well as all previous Stasis missions. Born in Darkness will give you two out of four, and there’s another one from Season of the Chosen.
Aspects of Season of the Chosen Stasis are easy to get. Talk to Exo Stranger in Beyond after completing Born in Darkness, then follow the quest markers.
How to Unlock New Stasis Aspects from Season of the Splicer
To begin the Season of the Splicer quest, the Noise Aspect, go to Beyond and talk to the Exo Stranger.
The first step requires you to investigate the darkness surrounding Kell’s Rising, and if you’ve made it this far, you already know what that means. Get your Salvation’s Grip ready and head to the north end of the map to get to Kell’s Rising.
Destroy Entropic Fragments
Follow the quest markers through the Riis-Reborn Approach and take the teleporter to Riis-Reborn, following the path towards Kell’s Rising. The quest marker will take you to the first Entropic Shard. Take out your Salvation’s Grip to destroy it.
There are five more Entrophic Fragments leading through the Kell’s Rising platformer – a total of six Pieces. Grab heavy ammo on your way up to destroy them, and watch out for crowds of enemies surrounding you.
After killing the last one, you will spawn a Wyvern boss. Take it down and hordes of enemies appear with it to pick up the Skeleton Key and unlock the Hero Simulation.
Complete the Hero simulation
You must complete another simulation to unlock the new Stasis Aspects. Before starting, make sure to equip Overload and Anti-Barrier mods to deal with Barrier and Overload Champions in the challenge. You may also want to bring a few friends. You can bring two other players and the recommended power level is 1,320.
The challenge opens with some background and sparse crowds of enemies. You’ll start applying Cold Bite immediately, and if you reach 10 stacks, you’ll start taking damage. You can stand near the fire to reduce the effect, so try to bounce between them as you go up.
Keep fighting, and eventually you will reach the boss. It’s a Vex hydra that will destroy you if you’re lower level, so be prepared for a fight. It will keep spawning more enemies, so focus your damage on the boss as much as you can.
After the boss falls, return to Beyond to the Shadow altar. Follow the path to the end to get your new Stasis Aspects.
What New Aspects of Stasis Do in Season of the Splicer
You don’t have to complete quests with your alternate characters, so you can go straight to the altar in Beyond on Europa to choose facets for each layer in Destiny 2. Here’s what they do:
- Warlock: Glacial Harvest – Glacial Harvest is the simplest of the new ones, but it’s still powerful. Whenever you freeze an enemy, it creates Stasis shards around the target, freezing more enemies. Freezing higher level enemies will create more shards.
- Titan: Diamond Lance – Diamond Lance gives you a Stasis Lance whenever you burst or defeat a frozen enemy. “Shoot” the lance allows you to throw it and freeze the target on impact. Using your melee ability will smash the spear into the ground and create a small frozen area.
- Hunter: Touch of Winter – Touch Winter adds more abilities to your grenades. Coldsnap grenades seek targets, farther and faster, and they last for an extra amount of time. Glacier Grenades now spawn Stasis crystals. Finally, the Duskfield Grenade has the ability to increase the area of the slow and create a Stasis crystal on impact.
