Bungie open the lid Fate 2Upcoming Witch Queen The DLC, the latest installment of the ongoing game, is scheduled for release on February 22, 2022. Along with the expansion announcement, Bungie has revealed a new customizable weapon called the Glaive , a melee weapon with mid-range capabilities. Weapon customization is also available for both new and old weapons.
Bungie detailed various new content and items in the process Fate 2 Showcase events, including the future of the game after the Light and Shadow Saga. The rollout was also a celebration of Bungie’s 30th anniversary.
The event trailer kicks off with a bang with the reveal of the full trailer for Witch Queen. The video details that the Guardians will confront Savathun and her new Hive Guardians, which are a horde of Hives with the power of Light. The Guardians will face this new threat in the world of Savathun’s throne, a pocket universe where she sets the rules.
With the upcoming expansion, players will get their hands on Glaive, a fully customizable new energy weapon. This melee/ranged mix cannot be found in the game as a reward for killing a boss or found inside a chest. This weapon must be crafted by the player and can be customized according to their playstyle. Along with Glaive, weapon crafting will be available for other weapons, including older ones.
Speaking of legacy weapons, Gjallarhorn will return to Destiny in Witch Queen expansion. Bungie has also teamed up with Nerf to create a Gjallarhorn Nerf gun that everyone will be able to buy.
Starting today, Season of the Lost go directly Fate 2. This will serve as a setting for Witch Queen expands and is a prelude to the final chapter in Light and Dark Sage, called Final form. Crossplay is live now at the start of this new season, so the last defenders can come together against this new threat regardless of platform.
