Destiny 2The next season’s is called Season of the Chosenand it brings both new and old content to the game. The thirteenth season of the shooter adds three more action attacks to the game, as well as a story revolving around Cabal.
Season of the Chosen runs from February 9 through May 11 and will be showing content throughout the season. The new trailer previews the latest chapter of the story, which features a fight against Queen Caiatl, the daughter of the sequel’s first main villain, Calus.
The biggest news is that the three strikes are coming to the game. Both Devil’s Lair and Fallen SABER attacks return from the original Destiny, and a new Cabal attack named Proving Ground will go deeper into the season. New strikes have barely existed in Destiny 2 since Keep the ball Expansion pack released in 2019.
The season also added a new activity called Battlegrounds to the mix. While the details aren’t entirely clear, Bungie describes this as a three-player pairing operation aimed at pushing the Guardians against the Cabal foes. This activity will be free for all Destiny 2 players, regardless of whether or not they have a season ticket.
The expansion pack brings a lot of new loot to the game, including weapons and armor. The seasonal bizarre that stands out during this period is Ticuu’s Divination, a bow that can shoot multiple times, tracking shots of the sun at the same time. In total, more than 25 new weapons will be added to the game’s loot arsenal.
Guardian Games will return as part of the season. The annual Olympic-themed event, which often brings more equipment to the game, will be free to all Destiny 2 player.
