Fight in Dying Light 2 should be familiar to anyone who played the game first. According to Matt Courtois, the game’s chief technical game animator, the primary goal of battle in the game is content and role-playing. Courtois went on to say that some features from Dying light is returning, such as consecutive hits to the same body part dealing more damage, and the impact strength is determined by the type of weapon being used, – for example, if it’s blunt or color.
To give their weapons a boost, players will be able to modify them, just like in Dying light. The game will include a variety of mods, some mods improving the defensive qualities of weapons and others simply making them more offensive. Other mods apply status effects to each weapon, such as electricity, fire, poison, and freezing.
Players can also look forward to a strong parkour system in Dying Light 2. The game will give players the same range of move options that they already have Dying light, along with some new ones that will appear through new skills and equipment, such as paragliding. Parkour and combat will also work together in the game, with abilities allowing players to kick enemies to jump, as well as others.
Dying Light 2 Keeping people will launch on December 7 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
