Following the announcement of a December release date following an indefinite delay, Dying Light 2 was pushed back again. The zombie-parkour mashup from developer Techland is currently set to release on February 4, 2022, putting it at the beginning of a month already packed with major releases.
In a post on Twitter, Techland said that “The game is complete and we are currently testing it.” However, even in this state, the developer wants more time – almost two more months – for the longer-awaited game to be polished. “This is by far the largest and most ambitious project we have ever undertaken,” the post continued. “Unfortunately, for us, we’ve realized that to get the game to the level we envisioned, we need more time to polish and optimize it.” Dying Light 2 was originally set to release on December 7th.
