Transparent EVE Fanfest 2022CCP Games London reveals that a spin-off of the popular MMO’s massively multiplayer first-person shooter EVE Online is in operation.
The game is still untitled and details on the new game are scarce as CCP Games says it “would rather show you than tell you how they developed the concept”. All that’s being said for now is that the game will be an innovative “online tactical FPS” set in New Eden. So far, only one concept art has been released featuring gun-wielding soldiers walking across water.
Because even Gundam joined in Multiplayer first person shooter spinoff crazenot too surprised EVE Online will follow. Hopefully it best emulates the genre while still having the unique flair of EVE Online. This is actually CCP Games’ third attempt at the concept.
CCP Games released Dust 514 for PS3 in 2013, but that game was discontinued in 2016. The developer then revealed a shooter called Nova project prior to cancel that project and allowed his London studio to start brainstorming for this current game. Hopefully, this project doesn’t meet the same fate.
Thankfully, this isn’t the only thing revealed during EVE Fanfest 2022. We’ve been told that CCP Shanghai is developing a free-to-play strategy game for mobile that will enter player testing later in the year. now. EVE Online also received the collaboration of Microsoft Excel (Yes really), so follow them all EVE Online’s data will be easier.
CCP Games London’s first-person shooter doesn’t yet have a release date, but the studio has confirmed that the game is currently ramping up pre-production development.
