Zero Crisis Finale
Right after you start it up FortniteYou’ll be greeted with a brand new cutscene featuring Agent Jones. This new season kicks off the Zero Crisis Finale single-player event, ending Agent Jones’s story. After explaining a bit, you will play the event, which asks you to close a set of gates. Doing so will teleport you to a bunch of new areas and after you finish the final installment you’ll start the events of season 6. It’s a relatively short experience, but it’s very neat because it is more storytelling than the PvP part of the game itself. Plus, it’s pretty cool that you can play it by yourself.
Remember that if you skipped Zero Crisis Finale or if you just want to play again, you can do so from the main menu. Simply press square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, or Y on Nintendo Switch to change the match type, then navigate to Zero Crisis Finale and choose it. Finally, press triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox, or X on the Nintendo Switch to start the event.
Original supplement

Main topic of Fortnite Season 6 is Primal, allowing you to take part in prehistoric royal battles when the new update starts. This means you’ll find a combination of primitive imagery and modern technology, similar to what you see in Horizon Zero Dawn – a mixture of old and new. This new theme comes with lots of features, such as wild prehistoric animals roaming the map, new temporary weapons, and aesthetic changes to the map.
Speaking of wild animals, be sure to get rid of the ones you come across, as they release a new resource called Animal Skeletons used for crafting (we’ll cover more below). Besides, some animals are hostile, so you’ll want to take them down. Other new additions are Rare Chests, scattered throughout the map, though they are very well hidden. These Chests contain better, rarer loot and we highly recommend looking for them. You’ll also find a bunch of new Primal weapons, but we’ll dig deeper into that below.
Finally, notice the NPCs at each of the main centers. They will still take your gold bars as currency, just like what was introduced in season 5. You will want to talk to them and buy various things like quests or even Ornaments.
Lastly, take note of the new Spire Guardians, who can be defeated for some rather rich loot. These enemies are located around the map and are quite difficult to defeat but well worth the effort.
Map change

Some of the most notable changes in season 6 are the topography of the map. The most striking change is of course The Spire, a huge tower in the center of the map. But if you look closely at the map, you will notice a number of branch roads coming from the center in a star pattern, indicating new terrain. If you visit brown / orange locations you will find new additions to the map, so remember to take some time to explore.
The new areas are as follows:
- Fire
- Boney Burbs
- Giant plant
However, you’ll also find new additions to the Weeping Forest, Pleasant Park, and the area west of Lake Lazy. There are plenty of new features, like the handmade huts and village decorations, as well as a new color palette. Despite these new changes, for the most part the map remains the same as last season, so stick to new brown and yellow areas if you want to see something new.
Crafting and new weapons

We’ll cover this in more detail in our crafting guide here, but the main thing you need to know is that you can craft weapon upgrades right away with season 6. means you’ll have more chances to enter the contest, but it also means your enemies can do the same. This new system rewards you for exploration and allows you to experiment with a variety of weapons ranging from Primal to mechanical.
The point is you will absolutely want to always have an upgrade in mind as you can do it very easily now. You should review what you have and remember which materials you need to upgrade, that way you will have an advantage over your enemies. Overall, this is a new feature that spice up the battle.
One of the new weapons is the Bow, which carries a serious punch but is used very slowly. It will take some getting used to, but once you master it, you can effectively destroy your enemies as it does high damage. Also, make sure you experiment with different Supply upgrades to find out which one works best for you. There are a number of different types, from the Explosive Bow to the shock wave emitting type.
A new battle to overcome

One of the stars of season 6 is the new Battle Pass, which – as always – has 100 feature levels for you to unlock. It’s available for 950 V-bucks, can be purchased with real cash (about $ 10) or just by playing the game. What’s interesting is that if you buy a Battle Pass and complete all 100 levels, you’ll get a total of 1,500 V-bucks, so it pays itself.
The Fortnite The Season 6 Battle Pass is filled with tons of unlockable cosmetics, including the Lara Croft skin from the Tomb Raider series. Not only that, there are a number of different variants of Lara, as well as several Tomb Raider related equipment, so be sure to check them out. There are also many other Primal-like characters in the Battle Pass, along with a fancy new chicken named Cluck.
The other protagonist you are most looking forward to is Raven from DC Comics. There are two variations available: One is unlocked at level Battle Pass 77 and the other at level 85, with lots of Raven cosmetics in between. The last cosmetic item you have is to reach the level of Battle Pass 100. This gives you access to Spire Assassin, a warrior with a formidable appearance. And, in addition to the Battle Pass level up, there are also separate rewards that you can unlock, a number of rewards related to Neymar Jr., a famous Brazilian soccer player will be added. Fortnite at the end of the season.
