If there’s one thing FromSoftware is known for, whether it’s entirely accurate or not, its games are tough. However, just calling them hard is a somewhat misleading statement, as many arguments can be made that games allow for multiple ways to reduce that difficulty. In Elden Ring, all the usual difficulty mitigations that exist in previous Souls games, plus the added benefit of being in an open world where you’re never forced to fight a boss more until you beat it before you can make any kind of progress. However, leveling up your character is key to keeping up with the game’s challenges.
XP and your currency in Elden Ring called runes around this time. They work exactly like souls did in previous games, in that you earn them from killing enemies – the harder it gets, the more you get – and you can use them to Level up your character and improve its stats. However, each level takes more and more runes and you only get one point to spend on all your stats each time you level up, making each decision more and more important as it takes time. before you reach the next level. You can crush runes from anywhere in Elden Ringbut we found the fastest and easiest way to earn tons of XP if you need to power up your character in a rush.
There are plenty of other guides that will show you places where you can fight enemies quickly and near the Place of Grace can earn you a good pile of runes at Elden Ringbut no matter how many runes those routes give you, there are some Related risks. They also depend on how fast you can fight those enemies, and if you’re too low level you might not even be able to do that, defeating the whole purpose of being a farming spot good.
Our method does not involve combat at all and you just need to get your Torrent, your mount, and go to a specific Grace Site. The location in question is in the top east corner of the Dragonbarrow area map. Be forewarned, this is a high-level area, so just head straight to Grace’s Site, or you might get trampled by random mobs. Just go through the Erdtree icon on the map, where the land begins to shrink into a peninsula, you can find Lenne’s Rise Site of Grace. This will be your location.
Once here, look directly west from the Site to a slope that descends under a stone bridge. Up Torrent Mountain and start descending the hill. A giant metal ball will appear behind you and roll with you, Indiana Jones style. What you want to do is cycle along the edge of the cliff and take a sharp turn when the ball starts to chase you, causing it to fall off the edge. This ball turns out to be an enemy and will only give you 2,000 runes. From there, it only takes a few seconds to return to the Place of Grace, rest, and repeat the process. Once you get the hang of it, you can earn thousands of runes per minute with essentially no risk at all.
Some estimates you can earn up to 600,000 runes in an hour this way, although we don’t recommend trying it as it gets pretty boring after a long time and you might not need it. that many runes.
If you want to further maximize your rune farming time, there are some items you can get to increase the amount you earn passively. The first is the more popular Gold Hunting Bird’s Foot item. These are consumables, so you’ll need resources to craft them, making them less than ideal in the long run, but will increase the runes you earn over a certain amount of time.
The best item you can get to increase your runes is the Gold Scarab Talisman which will increase the runes you get by 20% as long as you have it equipped. The downside is that it’s much harder to get than consumable chicken feet. This item is located in the Caelid region, which is fairly high level, where you’ll find the Smoldering Wall’s Grace Site. From this point you’ll need to head towards the Erdtree cottage not far away, go down and find a cave hidden in the cliffs. Make your way through this dungeon to the boss, or rather a pair of bosses. If you can get past these two knights, one holding a spear and the other holding a sickle, they will drop the Gold Scarab Talisman. Wearing this while using the method above will net you almost 400 more runes per run.
