Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade is a new next generation update to last year’s Game Award-nominated RPG. It features improvements to images, as well as brand new story content. Square Enix previously noted that people who already own the game can get the upgrade for free (unless you download the PlayStation Plus version), but they’ll need to purchase the story content separately.
New episode, titled Access to FF7R episodes, will be available as a standalone purchase for $ 20 starting June 10. Players buy Interleaved itself will take the story content as part of that package. The standard version costs $ 70 and a digital luxury version costs $ 90.
The blog post has revealed new details about the update’s story and new combat capabilities. The episode follows Yuffie as she infiltrates a Shinra facility to steal a piece of materia. Yuffie’s play style is a mix of short-range and long-range attacks. She can throw a large star at her enemies and attack with elemental ninjutsu.
Yuffie has two new abilities: Banishment and Windstorm. Banishment deals damage based on the amount of energy ATB used before it was used, while Windstorm is a large-scale damage attack that pulls enemies towards Yuffie.
Square Enix has revealed the voice cast for the new episode, giving you a glimpse of the full cast. In addition to Yuffie and Sonon, INTERmission includes characters like Weiss, Polk and Billy Bob.
Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade store updates on June 10 and will only be available on PS5.
