Nintendo and Koei Tecmo are teaming up again to make another spin-off of the popular Warriors series. This time the world of Fire symbol: Three houses join the war with Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopesjust got a new trailer showing more details of the game, including the main character and the three campaigns.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes was announced in February’s Nintendo Direct. Today’s trailer shows players taking control of a brand new, anime-like character named Shez. Just look at the purple hair covering one eye! Shez can be either female or male as usual in the series, just like Byleth.
The game has the same three campaigns as the original Fire symbol: Three houses. Players can choose from three houses, all of which are sporty new names. Scarlet Blaze is led by Edelgard, Azure Gleam is led by Dimitri, and Golden Wildfire is led by Claude. Three hopes seems to be more than just a spin-off or sequel to three houses, but a remixed retelling of that game. Players not only use a new protagonist, but Three houses protagonist Byleth is one of the Three hopes’ main enemy, now known as “Demon Ashen.”
Three hopes also throws in the usual Warriors fare, with team attacks, battle prep, level grinding to unlock classes, and battle planning all coming back, albeit with a Fire twist Emblem. Players can explore their teams’ camps and schools while interacting and training with others to gain experience and unlock more attack abilities.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will be released for Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2022.
