Latest set of Fortnite Challenges will take place live as part of season 6, week 3. This week, one challenge requires you to catch five fish at Camp Cod, Canoe on the Lake or Invisible Castle. It is easy enough to understand, but if you are a novice Fortnite or are unfamiliar with fishing, you may have difficulty completing this challenge. The point is, only one area – Invisible Stronghold – is marked on the map, so you’ll need to have prior knowledge if you plan to visit other locations.
Thankfully, we’ve provided you with everything you need to know about this challenge. This is the place to catch fish at Camp Cod, Lake Canoe or the Invisible Citadel Fortnite.
Fishing in the sneaky stronghold where
The first thing you should know about this challenge is that you only need to catch five fish in any of the three locations. You can mix and match and your progress will continue after you complete a game. With that in mind, it’s best to choose a location that will be less busy than others so that you won’t be disturbed when trying to fish. The easiest way is to catch five of your fish in one location so you can quickly take them off the field.
First, after the season 6 update, Stealth Stronghold now has an inner water body, so grab your fishing rod and do your best to catch as many fish as possible. This is one of the busier areas, but depending on the Battle Bus’s trajectory, it could be a viable spot for landing. Check the map above (courtesy of Fortnite.gg) for exact location.
Where to fish at Lake Canoe
Next, you can visit Lake Canoe, located north of Retail. This area is also known for being busy, so be careful when landing on the ground. Nearby there is a dock with a fishing rod, so be prepared for it as soon as you land.
Where to fish at Camp Cod
Finally, you can choose to visit Camp Cod, an area in the southeast corner of the map. This area is usually safe to land as it is very hidden. Again, check the pier on the east side to find a fishing rod.
How to fish
If you’re reading this guide, you probably already know how to fish, but in case you didn’t, see how the mechanic works. To get started, you need a fishing rod. They are usually found by the water areas inside the barrel and you will see the stick sticking out to indicate its location. Once you’ve equipped the fishing rod, hold the right trigger to aim and release to move your path. We recommend casting in schools of fish to make sure there’s a bite to eat. When your controller vibrates, tap the right trigger again to spin the fish.
Note that if you stay away from fish, you may still be “bitten”, but the object you turn may not be fish. Either way, catch five fish at any of these locations and you’ll earn 24,000 XP.
