Part 6, week 4 of Fortnite in progress, along with a new set of challenges for you to complete. While most quests probably won’t cause you too much trouble, a specific task requires some planning. That mission is to damage the opponent with The Recycler, a weapon that must be obtained from a chest or as a trophy around the world.
The challenge has two parts: Grab The Recycler and deal damage with it. In this guide, we’ll show you how to find The Recycler, along with tips on how to use it against enemies. This is how to deal damage to opponents with The Recycler in Fortnite.
How To Get The Recycler
Before you can actually do damage with The Recycler, you need to get it. The easiest way to do so is to play Team Rumble. Towards the end of the game when more Supply Drops appear, you have a high chance of finding them. Alternatively, you can remove another player with The Recycler to take it yourself. The cool thing about Team Rumble is that you have a lot of enemies to eliminate in close range, along with plenty of opportunities to find weapons The Recycler.
How to deal damage with The Recycler
Once you have The Recycler, you will want to find your way to other enemy players to do some damage. To complete this challenge, you need to do 300 damage with The Recycler, which is relatively low, especially when you consider the level of chaos at the end of Team Rumble. The hardest part is learning how to use The Recycler.
It works like a grenade launcher, but instead of using traditional ammo, you have to suck items from around the world to replenish, hence the name The Recycler. Use the left trigger to suck the items, this will fill the weapon’s ammo. Remember, you must suck an entire item to fill a slot. You have to completely destroy an item by sucking it up to get ammo, so don’t waste time smoking large and durable items.
Instead, smoke smaller objects such as signs, a variety of furniture, or other debris that are smaller than the vehicle. By default, The Recycler holds three shots, so you’ll probably run out of ammo before completing the challenge. The beauty of Team Rumble is that you are born with the same weapon you had before being eliminated, so go back and repeat the process until you deal 300 damage on enemies.
After doing so, you will earn 24,000 XP for your troubles.
