It’s week 13 of Fortnite’s Part 5 and with that a series of new challenges for you to complete. This week’s goals aren’t too complicated – most of the more difficult ones require you to visit only specific areas that aren’t marked on the map. One of the first challenges you will likely encounter is that you have to scan the server at the Surface Hub. Of course, these servers are not marked on the map, so we have to tell you where to find them. There are three that appear in fixed positions on the map, but you only need to scan one to complete the challenge.
There’s one in Stealth Stronghold, Colossal Coliseum and Hunter’s Haven, and we’ll show you the location of all three. Here’s how to scan the server at the Surface Hub in Fortnite.
Where to scan the server at Surface Hub
As with many Fortnite Challenges, you have several options for accomplishing your goals. When you refer to the map above (from Fortnite.gg), you’ll see the common locations of all three servers. It’s not specific enough, but below, we’ll go into more detail on how to find them all. Remember, you only need to scan one, so choose a location based on where the Battle Bus comes from at the start of the match. You can also try this in Team Rumble so that you can revive if you can’t keep up.
All servers are found in similar locations – often hidden underground. First, head to the westernmost building in Hunter’s Haven. It was a very small building with a series of narrow steps leading to it below. Go all the way down to the bottom floor and then go up a series of other steps along the way. Up one floor is the server, right next to the balcony. Simply press square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, or Y on Nintendo Switch to hack.
For the Colosseum, you will want to go to the south side of the area. On the south side towards the bottom floor is a brown gate that you can destroy, do so and then follow the steps downstairs, just like we described to Hunter’s Haven. Then go up the stairs to the left, and immediately on the right is a door leading to a room containing a server.
The eastern side of the large structure in the center of the Invisible Castle was a passage that led below, like the previous two sites. Follow all the steps down to the bottom floor. Across the room is a door that you can go inside, where the server is located.
After hacking one of the servers listed above, you’ll receive credit for completing the challenge, along with 20,000 XP for your Battle Pass!
