Fortnite There’s a new set of challenges for season 7, week 2, and this particular batch is a bit more complicated than you might be used to doing. We wouldn’t call the new challenges difficult, but some of them may require some additional knowledge before being able to complete them. One in particular is to destroy equipment on satellite stations. The game doesn’t tell you specifically where these stations are located or what qualifies as equipment, so you might get stuck.
In this guide, we’ll go over all the possible locations of the satellite station, how to destroy the device, and any other tips you’ll need to complete this challenge. This is how to destroy equipment at satellite stations in Fortnite.
In total, there are seven satellite stations on the map – all appearing in fixed locations. Refer to the map above (thanks, Fortnite.gg) for the full layout of each location. As always, you’ll want to pick a satellite location that’s out of sight so you don’t run into enemy players. Just look at the path of the Battle Bus at the start and head to the satellite station that’s out of the way. You can easily identify these stations by the large satellites found on their roofs.
For this challenge, “device” is a broad term. To complete it, you need to destroy 15 pieces of equipment and the easiest way to do that is to break everything in sight. Things like monitors, desks, anything electronic, and consoles will count towards your goal. Basically, when you land, grab a weapon to defend yourself from the NPCs in the area and then go inside to start destroying things.
Once there, trade for your ax and then break everything in sight. The in-game counter will give you credit for every piece of equipment you destroy, so keep an eye on that as you break everything in your path. If you don’t get credit for some reason, check to make sure you’re on a satellite station. You can also do this in multiple matches, so if you’re only getting some of the 15 needed, it’s not a big deal. Just go back to one match and finish the rest.
The other important thing to note is that you must complete the prerequisites before you can make progress for this challenge. This one was launched by Abstrakt, and it’s stage 4 out of 5, so keep that in mind.
After splitting all 15 pieces of equipment, you’ll earn 30,000 XP for your battle pass.
