Arguably the hardest challenge in Fortnite Season 7, week 14 asks you to eliminate an alien parasite. There are a number of things that complicate this problem, such as being in the right place at the right time. While you can certainly set it up to get it done with ease, you’ll need a friend to do it. If not, there is a degree of luck involved in whether or not you can make things work.
Luckily, there are several different methods you can use to accomplish this goal, and in this guide we’ll show you everything you need to know to tick it off your list. . Here’s how to get rid of attached alien parasites Fortnite.
Step one of this challenge is to locate the alien parasite, which spawns from green eggs. If you’ve been watching throughout the season, you’re probably familiar with the locations of the eggs, but in case you don’t, we recommend checking out the map above to see where to find them (thanks, Fortnite. gg). Depending on whether you’re bringing a friend with you on this challenge, you’ll want to choose a location that’s close to wildlife. If you’re doing this challenge alone, choose one of the outdoor locations, such as the one southwest of Pleasant Park.
If you have a friend with you, then any of the points above will do, so keep that in mind when you want to complete this challenge. We wanted to complete this solo, which required the use of a chicken. Whichever method you choose, choose an appropriate location before proceeding.
We will look at both methods including solo and squad strategies here.
For solo players, you’ll want to shoot a chicken with parasites on it. You can find wildlife around the parasite on the east side of Pleasant Park. We recommend grabbing a chicken and throwing it at the parasites for them to latch on to. Once it’s attached, you can shoot it to get credit for completing the challenge. To do this can be a bit difficult because chickens are very fast so it is difficult to catch them. If you’re really lucky, you might find a chicken that’s already been infected with the parasite, which is ideal.
There are other solo strategies, but they are inconsistent. For example, you can shoot an enemy player with an alien parasite. Likewise, the same can be said of a teammate.
Speaking of which, if you’re trying this with a friend, you’ll have a much easier time. With this strategy, all you have to do is call on your friend to deliberately approach an alien parasite to catch it attaching. Then just shoot it away. This is the easiest strategy by far, but it requires you to have a partner, which is not always practical.
Either way, once you’ve successfully eliminated a clinging parasite – whether it’s a friend, foe, or animal – you’ll complete the challenge and earn 30,000 XP for doing so.
