The latest series of Fortnite The challenges are live for season 7, week 7. As is typical, this list features a variety of objectives of varying difficulty – although overall, the challenges are mostly simple. Some of it involves the use of a Whiplash sports car, and the first one you’ll go requires you to hit top speed in the car. This is not too complicated to do, as the car is quite fast, but you need to be in the right place for the car to work.
In this guide, we’ll show you where to find Whiplash and how to complete the newest challenge. Here’s how to get the highest speed in Whiplash in Fortnite.
The cool thing about Whiplash challenges is that there are a lot of challenges around the map. As you can see in the map above (thanks, Fortnite.gg), there are plenty of Whiplash vehicles to choose from, so you should have no trouble finding one. Having said that, there are a few things you should know specifically about this challenge, because it can be a bit daunting.
You should land on a Whiplash location close to a road that does not have many bends. Attempting to drive off-road will result in slower speeds, so you’ll want to avoid that if possible. Another thing we recommend choosing is choosing a Whiplash location near the garage – for example, the location west of Holly Hatchery. The reason for this is that the garage has a gas canister that you’ll want to use to fill up the Whiplash with gas. Many cars start at low throttle and depending on your driving skills it can take a while to reach top speed (which will use more gas).
Once you’ve chosen a location, land there, get everything ready, and, if possible, add more fuel to the Whiplash if needed. At this point, observe the roads around the vehicle and find your way to the path with the fewest bends. This should make it easy to reach a top speed of 80mph. Just keep in mind, you should stick to the road because driving on grass will reduce your speed significantly.
If you have trouble finding a straight line, you should head to the area just south of Believer Beach. Although the road is not completely straight, it is much easier to navigate than some of the other roads nearby. Keep driving forward until you hit 80mph and you will get credit for completing the challenge.
