The Genshin effect players on PS4 and PS5 will have a chance to receive Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn as a playable character. Sony announced that Aloy will be joining the Teyvat world for a limited time. PS4 and PS5 players will also have a chance to get Aloy’s Predator Bow for free in the game after update 2.1 launches.
Sony did not elaborate on Aloy and what her abilities will be The Genshin effect in its tweets. The announcement only states that Guerrilla Games, the developer of Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden Horizon in the West, will be partnering with miHoYo to bring its iconic character into the open world free game of The Genshin effect.

The Predator Bow will be available in the game after update 2.1 launches, so it’s safe to assume that Aloy will also be available for a short while when the update rolls out. According to the tweet, it will be in the game from update 2.1 to update 2.3.
Although Sony does not explain how players can get Aloy in The Genshin effect, it gave a brief summary of how players can pick up the Predator Bow. After update 2.1 comes out, players with an Adventure Rating over 20 will be able to get free bows. Interestingly, players on all platforms will be able to pick up bows in the game. However, only PS4 and PS5 players will have access to the bow’s Strong Strike.
2.1 update for The Genshin effect slated to go live in August of this year.
