With the start of one Fortnite The season comes with a bunch of new features and for season 6 there’s a lot to do. One of the new features is the realization of wildlife around the world. Some are friendly, while others … not so much. Part 6 also includes a new crafter and one of the new challenges that requires you to create an item called the Hunter’s Cloak. This item is extremely useful when traveling through areas with lots of wildlife.
In this tutorial we’ll walk you through the steps of creating this item, and we’ll include some tips to make it easier for you. This is how the inner Hunter Cloak is made Fortnite.
Look for animal bones and meat
We go into more detail on animal bones and how to build them in our guide here, but for the purposes of this post the main thing you need to know is that you have to get rid of a wild boar or wolf to Collect resources to complete this challenge. These creatures are found around the map in various places, but if you want a sure way to find them, check out the west side of Weeping Woods. Here, you’ll come across swarms of wolves – just make sure you are well equipped to take them out as they do high damage and can quickly overtake you if you’re not prepared.
Animals are found everywhere, but just make sure you get rid of the larger mammals to get the resources you need.
For this challenge you are looking for two items: Animal bones (2) and meat (1). Killing a wolf will do the trick, so grab your weapon and kill one, then go to a safe place where you can craft. It would be helpful if you have a group with them so they can monitor and protect you while you craft.
Crafting hunter’s cape
After you have collected two animal bones and one meat, press the D-pad and switch to the tab Make menu. Here, you’ll see Hunter’s Cloak as an option, so tap square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, or Y on Nintendo Switch to craft items. After crafting, you will complete the challenge and receive 24,000 XP.
You may be wondering what this item does. Since some animals are hostile, this item is especially useful, as it takes away their scent. You can apply it to your character when approaching a pack of wild wolves so they won’t attack you. This is a great idea so that you don’t waste ammo and resources trying to fight them, and so you don’t give up your position. Depending on your gameplay and the regions you want to go to, this might be a smart tactic or not, but it’s nice to know using the Hunter’s Cloak as an option, at least.
