One of the added features Fortnite Chapter 2, season 6 is a new crafting mechanism that allows you to upgrade weapons quickly. This new mechanic rewards you for exploring and collecting resources, granting you more powerful weapons depending on what you find throughout your journey.
The crafting system isn’t too complicated, but the game doesn’t do a good job of explaining how things work. That’s where we come from. In this guide we’ll detail how the new fabrication system works, including step-by-step instructions on how to make it, how to find certain ingredients, and a list of known recipes. at the beginning of the season.
This is how to make a weapon in Fortnite.
How to craft weapons in Fortnite
Internal fabrication system Fortnite is relatively simple. To access the crafting menu, press up on the D-pad and then switch to tab Make using R1 on PlayStation, RB on Xbox, or R on Nintendo Switch. Here, you will find a list of weapons that can be crafted based on the materials you have in stock.
There are several crafting recipes that have been added in section 6. Usually these involve combining a basic weapon (which you find around the world) with a certain ingredient to create. an upgraded, more powerful version. For example, a Primal Weapon can be crafted using any weapon of your choice, plus four animal bones. When you have all the required ingredients, each ingredient will have a green check mark next to it in the crafting menu, indicating you have the resources to craft that particular weapon. A red X indicates that you are short on the ingredients needed to craft that item.
If you don’t have a basic weapon, the crafting menu won’t offer any kind of upgrades. It will only notify you of potential upgrade routes if you have the basic weapon in your inventory. What’s cool about this menu is that it gives you a list of stats telling you how effective a weapon is. This way, you can make a comparison and see if it’s worth pursuing a particular upgrade.
All basic weapons have upgrades, so make sure you check out the crafting menu to see what’s available.
Collect fabrication materials
There are two main ingredients you will need when crafting Fortnite: Animal bones and mechanical parts. They are found around the map and can be collected by smashing several objects with your pickaxe. You can also collect them after defeating an enemy player.
Here are some objects you can destroy to find the parts you need.
Animal bones are found from animals around the map. Hunt an animal and it will drop animal bones, such as chickens and boars. We were also lucky enough to destroy the thorns with animal skulls on their heads.
You will find mechanical parts by destroying heavy machinery like cars, forklifts, trucks and any other type of vehicle.
Recipe for crafting weapons
Currently, there are several crafting recipes that you can follow to craft the weapon you want. Among those formulas, there are two main types of weapons: Primal and Classic / Mechanical – both of which correspond to the main resources we mentioned above (animal bones and mechanical parts).
The original weapon is crafted from Makeshift equipment and has a more handcrafted interface (matching the original theme of season 6). On the other hand, classic weapons are what you would expect Fortnite in previous seasons, like pump pistols or SMGs. Both types have their pros and cons and should be chosen based on gameplay. Remember to compare the stats of your desired weapon by watching Make menu.
Below are the known crafting recipes that have been added Fortnite season 6.
- Hunter Cap: Meat (1) + animal bones (2)
- Original weapon: Any weapon + animal bones (4)
- Primal Fire Palace: Primal Bow + gas canister (1) / firefly jar (1)
- Primal Stink Bow: Primal Bow + foul bag (1) / stinking fish (3)
- Classic weapons: Any weapons + mechanical parts (4)
- Mechanical explosion: Archery + grenade (6)
- Mechanical shock wave weapons: Archery + shock wave grenade (2)
If you want to craft a Primal weapon, you will need many animal bones, while a Mechanical weapon will require mechanical parts. Use that knowledge to tailor your path, as certain areas are better than others for specific divisions.
It’s possible that more weapons, materials, and recipes will be added as the season progresses, and if so, we’ll update this list accordingly.
