After a few months, RAAL LMG has been officially added Call of Duty: Warzone. As you may recall, the weapon has technically been in the game since December, but it hasn’t really been usable in custom loads so far. At the time, it appeared as booty on the floor alongside the CX-9 SMG, but was later inexplicably scrapped. However, it is currently available in Battlefield and Modern War.
RAAL LMG is well worth a try, especially if you are someone who likes to take on enemies from a distance. This weapon won’t change the game’s meta and is pretty unremarkable, but still fun to use if you’re looking for something new. Thankfully, it’s not too hard to unlock, and if you’re experienced, you can get this weapon in no time. Here, we’ll detail all the ways you can unlock a new weapon, along with tips for making it as easy as possible. Here’s how to get RAAL in Call of Duty: Warzone.
The challenge to unlock RAAL is simple: Earn five lives with the LMG using Scout Optic in seven different matches. Because Scout Optic is only available on Modern War LMG, you won’t be able to use a word Black Ops’ Cold War (sorry RPD or Stoner 63 fans). We recommend using PKM or Bruen Mk9 with standard long range construction. Just make sure you switch to Scout Optic to make sure you earn credits. We also recommend using the Tempered perk so that you spawn with full plates (you’ll be playing Plunder, as usual).
Once you’ve set up your weapons, kick off the Plunder match and head to Storage Town, where all the action usually takes place. Do your best to earn five lives with your LMG here – we recommend sticking to the outskirts of Storage Town so you can pick people up when they land. After you’ve earned five lives, go in Weight menu and navigate to RAAL to make sure your progress has been counted. You can then exit the match and repeat this six more times to fully unlock the weapon.
The easier and faster way to earn this weapon is to play Modern War. RAAL is a Modern War weapon, so you can earn it in that game to use Battlefield since the two radical systems share. For this we recommend using Holger-26 with 30 ring mags and Scout Optic. Then, launch a Ship Shooting match, providing a rotating roster on the Shipment and Shooting House maps. These maps are small and often chaotic, making it easy to earn five lives per match. Again, after you’ve earned your five kills, check to make sure they count and then retreat.
