Even with Dying Light 2With a release date just a few months away, Techland is getting fans of the first game in the franchise on fire. A new in-game event for Dying light, titled Low gravity, is to add new extraterrestrial enemies to the game, along with some new free in-game content and a small paid expansion pack.
The Low Gravity event, starting today, combines the game’s aliens with the undead. A crashed alien spaceship means there are now zombie aliens that the player will have to confront. Thankfully, some sort of intriguing effect has also been applied to the city and surrounding area, changing many of the game’s mechanics. Throughout Harran, players will be able to jump higher, take less damage from falls, and hurl themselves at enemies with a grappling hook.
New local and global challenges have also been added to the game, which can be completed to earn new upgrades.
Along with the Low Gravity event, a new expansion pack has been added Dying light, titled simply Astronaut. While not adding any additional content to the game, the Astronaut pack will allow players to dress up their characters as future space travelers. Along with a spacesuit, this bundle costs just $3, and includes a futuristic sword, laser rifle, and a pistol that can send enemies into the air.
Today’s update for Dying light most likely the end of it. The sequel to the game, Dying Light 2: Maintain Humans, is set to release on December 7th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
