Outriders getting a brand new free update titled Outriders: New Horizons on Tuesday, November 16. Additionally, the game will get a new story campaign in 2022 via an expansion pack.
Outriders is a multiplayer role-playing game Published by Square Enix, released on April 1. It allows players to choose from four unique classes and begin experiencing a cooperative story with various role-playing elements.
NS New Horizons Spotlight video reveals that the game is receiving a brand new campaign expansion titled worldslayer, coming out in 2022. Aside from a quick trailer and confirmation that it will include a new and full story, all other details have been kept in the dark.
Along with the expansion, a new end game is coming. The overhaul removes the explorer timer and balances the rewards. The goal is to allow players to experiment with different characters and play styles.
The loot system is also being changed, with a global 100% increase in all legendary item drop rates. A new anti-copy system is coming soon, preventing players from receiving loot they already own. Players will also be able to change the visuals of their loot, allowing for more customization regardless of their gear’s level or perks.
Finally, the multiplayer experience will be improved with the update. Not only is there now a “fully functional” cross-player mode on all platforms, but the matching rules have been fixed to avoid bad connections, AFK players, and disconnection issues.
