What content will be shown in the What’s Next event?
While Blizzard won’t be giving away everything it’ll show during the event ahead of time, we know What’s Next will launch some Overwatch 2’s PvP. This is especially notable since Blizzard has mostly focused on the game’s story and co-operative components so far. Aaron Keller explained PvP is still “the core of what makes” Overwatch 2 feels very special,” same as the first post.
The What’s Next event will introduce new maps, and as Keller notes, the team plans to discuss the ideas behind the PvP changes with the new entry. To set expectations, Keller cautions that everything that will be shown is a work in progress. Considering the game’s progress, it’s highly unlikely that Blizzard will reveal the game’s release date during the event.
