Raz has a much darker – and more dangerous – mission ahead of him in Psychonauts 2 that will push his physical and mental abilities to the limit. You’ll get plenty of new psychic gadgets and powers to help you explore, control, and fight your way through the brains of many characters, but whether you’re skilled at fighting and moving Either way, Raz is still bound to take some damage. Whether it’s an enemy hitting you, or jumping in the wrong place, Raz’s health bar is finite, but can be upgraded to give you more chances. The only way to do so is to collect rare Half-Minds.
Half-A-Minds is your heart’s equivalent of Psychonauts 2, instead of needing to collect 4 to upgrade your health, you only need 2. Because of how strong they are, there are very few treasures to be found in the game. Most will be hidden or sealed in areas where you need specific abilities or upgrades to access. If you need some extra HP to help complete the quest to save the Psychonauts in Psychonauts 2, We will help you keep track of all the Half-A-Minds there are.

A Half-A-Mind of Hollis’ Hot Streak level is in the potions section. As you enter, turn left into the back room of the pharmacy. You’ll need to jump across a gap to a floating platform with a green clover on it, which also has an HP upgrade.
There are two Half-A-Minds in this level and the first is tied to the first plating challenge you can take. If you manage to pass the challenge within the time limit, you will be rewarded with the obtained item.
You don’t have to be a Psychologist to predict how you’ll get your second upgrade here. Just beat the second plating challenge within the given time and Half-A-Mind is yours. Alternatively, you can return to this level after all rewards are placed on their platform and can be collected.
PSI King’s Sensorium is a massive level and by far the most Half-A-Minds in it to find for a total of four. First, go backstage and get below the stage by going to the right. You will come across some baggage that needs a tag and a poster. Burn the poster to keep moving forward on this path until it takes you right to this happy little brain.
Next, we need to go to the Eye Shrine area. As you cross the rainbow bridge, look for the platform with overgrown vines with hordes of fans cutting you off. You’ll need the Bubble of Time badge here to slow down the blades to allow you to advance to the platform and get this brain.
The third Half-A-Mind is in the forest. Go to the tent where the pair of musicians are camping. If you haven’t been there yet, the cutscene will automatically start when you get close. After the cutscene, return to the area when you can and run around behind their tent to get the upgrade.
The last brain found was at the Nose Mouth temple, again using the rainbow you need to create using the spotlight. Once done, drop down to the prism below and cross the new bridge to get to the gallery.
There’s only one lonely Half-A-Mind in Cassie’s Collection and it’s tucked away in the kids’ corner, but make sure you have the Projection Archetype first. In this area, see the first book that you can come in contact with and look for the door. Use your projection to get through and take advantage of this bit of brain energy.
Another brain solo, but another with special requests. This time, you’ll need the fully upgraded Spirit Connection badge so you can access dark thoughts. With that upgrade unlocked, head to the Viking reception area in Bob’s Bottles and to the giant Viking ship. Use your Spiritual Connection to grapple with dark thoughts to reach the ship’s oars, jump over them, and climb the rope ladder to the deck of this ship where this lonely brain is chilling.
The last two Half-A-Minds are in the Follies level of the Fatherland. Our first target is in Fall of Grulovia, where you need to find a small cave just to the right of the reels. You’ll spot a bright blue shard here, and beyond that an upgrade.
Finally, in the Death to the Psychonauts Interactive area, in the desert, all you need to do is jump up and over the backdrop to get your last brains and max HP.
