Psychonauts 2 is one of the few collectible style games to come to memory recently. There are hundreds of statues to pick up, challenge cards, keys, vaults and more to collect across the different spirit worlds you delve into. All of them are unique to the world and theme of Psychonauts 2 and also quite intelligent. Along with Half-A-Minds that you can pick up to increase Raz’s max HP, the Nugget of Wisdom item is another collectible that can give you a permanent boost to your abilities.
Nuggets of Wisdom is basically an instant ranking boost. Each one you get will increase you a rank, earning you the Intern Credits you need to upgrade all the psychic powers you’ll use throughout the adventure. Normally, ranking can take a long time, but there are 29 Nuggets of Wisdom at all levels in Psychonauts 2 to give your brain a mental boost. This is where you can find them all, level by level.
Starting our journey, we have two Nuggets of Wisdom to get in Loboto’s Labyrinth. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reach the first on your first run through the level. Once you’re able to return through the Collective Unconscious with pyrokinesis, head into the main office and burn the large portrait of Loboto to reveal some hidden wisdom.
Second, again asking you to come back later, asking to use Telekinesis. Use the quick-travel system to go straight to the Trash location and use your psychic powers to unzip a zipper at the top of the ramp-shaped gums.
Go to a more pleasant environment. We have three Nuggets of Wisdom to absorb in Hollis’s Classroom. Our first is at the top of the level. Follow the thought bubble and around the walls to where it ends with the word “disgusting,” and you’ll discover nukes just one platform ahead.
Outside the parking lot, the next bomb was hidden in some bushes along the outer wall. There was a giant green palm tree-shaped fragment right above it.
Finally, we went to the chapel. You will be hard pressed to miss this one located at the front left.
You can get four ranks easily in this level.
Get out, climb to the roof of the hospital/casino and hop on the A/C device to get to the top of the neon lights. The bullet floats slightly to the left.
Now, go inside and go to the profile area. Once inside, the first left turn will lead you to a desk with a computer and a picture hanging on the wall behind it. Just like the first piece of art, burn this one to get a little more wisdom.
The third kernel will be something you need to come back to later as it requires you to have the Spirit Connection badge and rank it up to max level so you can access dark thoughts. Once you have that, head to the back of the giant slot machine in the Pharmacy section, where there’s a secret area. Use dark thinking to try to elevate yourself and then cross the floating platforms above the main road to gather this elusive bit of knowledge.
And our final Nugget of Wisdom once again requires a very late game ability, this time Projection. Once you’ve mastered that ability, head back to the cardio room and use your slim projection to slip through the letter cover and pop the door open so you can get the item.
There’s only one goal to get here, so let’s get started.
As you follow the normal path from the beginning of this level, you will encounter a red switch to the right of the broken path. Nail it with a PSI to create an update and you can soar and across the gap, right to the cliff with the Nugget of Wisdom.
Compton has one or two things, namely two, to teach us in this level.
The first Nugget of Wisdom is accessible during the first round of the cooking event. It sits on top of a red slide, slightly to the left of the stove.
The last one, again, requires the late game ability to grapple with dark thoughts. Just above the blender station, you can get to the top of the big billboard and capture this next bit of wisdom.
Thankfully, there’s only one we need to collect in this nasty city. Starting from the area overlooking the Foul Line, when you are at the top of the building overlooking the area under construction, look to the left, towards a large water tower. Run around behind to find a ladder that you can jump on and climb up. The bullet will wait at the top of the water tower.
PSI King’s Sensorium is hiding three Nuggets of Wisdom in its colorful and cramped setting.
The first kernel will take us to the Vision section of the level, where you’ll need to get through a series of swinging columns to progress. Looking back from here to see some of the fans you need to use your Time Bubble ability, this ability slows things down so you can jump over an isolated tower with some colored boxes black and green. The kernel is waiting for you at the top of the stack.
Next, you need to get to the area where you’re trying to get it into Dr. Touch. When you get here, you can actually spot nuclear weapons on the other side of the water, but of course, Raz can’t swim. To cross, you need to shine the spotlight down to create a rainbow bridge leading to the island with the jewel on it.
Finally, in the bright yellow area where you must track Sniffles and Tasty, keep moving forward until you cross the first rainbow bridge. Here, you will see two blades and nuclear weapons in the distance. If you use your Time Bubble ability to slow the tongue, you can glide through them and reach it.
Our only Nugget of Wisdom in Cruller’s Correspondence is right at the bottom of the area. Head up to the desk with the typewriter, then back up to the top of the green light to capture this collection.
Cassie has a collection of four Nuggets of Wisdom in her level!
The first is right near the opening, in the first room with Librarian Cassie. This box sits in a small recess in the wall that you can reach by jumping on some open drawers that jut out of the wall.
After going deeper into the level where you learned the Projection ability, you will enter a room with a book with a windmill on the cover that can shoot up wind that you can ride. Arrange several mental connections through an identical recess in the wall to the first room for the second bead.
As part of the main progression of this level, you’ll have the goal of finding three pieces of evidence to use against Fannie Flats. Once you’ve found the second item, exhibit B, you’ll be right next to a track that you have to go. Instead of doing this, tilt the camera down and you can detect the kernel on the platform below you. Drop down and claim it.
The last nugget is very easy and you will probably get it naturally. As soon as you find exhibit C, the nucleus will be right in front of you. Unless you try to avoid it, you can’t miss it.
Bob’s Bottle has two more of our Nuggets of Wisdom to choose from.
While progressing through this level you will eventually enter the red bottle where you meet Bob. He will create a path for you that you need to follow, cross two segments where you need to do some light runs, then meet up with Bob, who will now be floating overhead and hanging from the sky. a vine. Going forward you will gain some emotional baggage, which is your cue to turn left and jump between several poles to reach the nucleus.
When you go into the blue bottle, which is the last bottle of the level, go in immediately. There will be a straw that you can use as an iron that will take you right next to the Nugget of Wisdom. Jump at the right moment to capture it.
We will need to get three nuggets at this stage.
The first was in the flea circus. You need to reach the top of the stage using the lanyard on the left side of the stage when facing the stands. At the top, on the highest tightening ring, is the nugget.
When the scene changes to the aesthetic for the first time, you can spot the linden tree crossing the river on top of a tree stump. Just cross the river and pick it up.
The final collection that we are following is in the third quilting area. After going forward from the node tunnel, you’ll see a button sewn into the ground that you can pry off using your Telekinesis powers. Jump into the hole it opens to get the nucleus.
Finally, we come to the last three Nuggets of Wisdom in the Homeland Follies.
In this level you will naturally come to a point where your goal will be to find an egg. Enter the room next to the Propaganda bird full of Fabergé eggs and a Nugget of Wisdom.
In the room where you find the egg you’re really looking for, check the walls for a painting of Lady Lucktopus. Blast your pyrokinesis and ignite it to reveal a hidden room with nugget.
That brings us to the final Nugget of Wisdom. You’ll return to Whisnking Rock Summer Camp, and once inside, you’ll go to a campfire with several cabins nearby. Take the path to the right, just to the left of the bulletin board, and enter the first cabin on the right. The final kernel is located right inside.
