Razer has announced today that they are launching a new gaming accessory, the Razer Gaming Finger Sleeve. Woven with a highly sensitive silver thread, the thumb sleeve aims to give players greater control on the touch screen and adds comfort thanks to the breathable fabric.
The Razer Gaming Sleeve is not for your arm, where you normally associate the word sleeve. These new fashion accessories are really for your thumb, look like baby Digimon stage for glitter gloves and mittens. The sleeves themselves aren’t a fashion nightmare, as they look good even in the regular size, and the black, green and silver color scheme is what we can expect from Razer products. . Despite the weirdness of just placing the fabric on your thumb, they still look perfectly fine.
Of course, you won’t be wearing these shirts to the next Met Gala or to your cousin’s bat festival. These are here to help players with mobile games. This is what I personally really need. To put it bluntly, my thumb is slightly bent. Twisted might be the more appropriate word. Not really noticeable, but definitely obvious when I’m trying to text or play games on my phone. Instead of carefully aiming at PUBG Mobile or text my partner about a funny meme I’ve seen, I’ll just drag my fingernails across the screen. You can see scratches on my screen that look like a territorial chicken on one quadrant of my phone.
With these gaming sleeves, I can finally get the precision that many mobile games require. I no longer have to avoid fast-paced games for fear of getting in the way of my team because my thumbs decided to crush the screen like a 2000s teenager with Soap on my shoe. I get it, they look weird. However, if they do what it says on the box with improved accuracy and touch screen controllability, then I’m good to go.
