Sony announced a new State of Play presentation on Thursday, July 8. Featured games this month are the new Bethesda title, Deathloop, there will be nine minutes of new gameplay footage. The short rollout will also showcase some updates for indie and third-party games. Here’s how to watch a stream and what to realistically expect from it.
When is Play Status?
Like every PlayStation stream, State of Play will be available to watch on the official PlayStation as well Twitch and YouTube channel. Viewers can watch live or watch the entire video after it’s broadcast.
What will be displayed at the Play Status?
The star of this month’s Play Status is Upcoming of Bethesda Deathloop. The nine-minute gameplay intro will introduce some of the game’s abilities, possible combat tactics, and options available on the island on which the game takes place, Blackreef.
There will also be indie and third-party game updates, though Sony didn’t say what games we might see beyond. Deathloop.
While many Sony fans have a lot to look forward to, it’s not a good idea to enter the show expecting any surprises. In one official blog post, Sony confirmed that the show will not showcase the kind of first-party die-hard fans typically hope to see at Sony shows.
It has a name God of War, Forbidden Horizon to the West, and the next generation of PlayStation VR are three specific things that will not appear. These will be visible throughout the summer via other updates according to the PlayStation blog.
