While 6 . street fighter There’s still no official date, Capcom has told us about when to expect. In Sony’s time June 2022 State of Play, the developer announced through a new trailer 6 . street fighter will arrive in the summer of 2023.
Unlike 5 street fighterNew entries in this series will no longer be console exclusives. 6 . street fighter will launch simultaneously on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, which is great news for Xbox players in particular who missed the final entry.
After a short countdown in February 2022, Capcom has released an official teaser trailer announcing the 6 . street fighter, there is a pose between Ryu and Luke, presumably before a battle. For longtime fans of the series, the trailer is particularly interesting for a number of reasons, notably:
- New character Luke has a lot of time to appear in the teaser. That can be confusing since he was only added to one of the last updates made to 5 street fighter late 2021. However, the DLCs have given Luke a lot of attention and are clearly establishing him as part of the future of Street Fighter, possibly with a major future storyline. That seems more likely now, but don’t worry – Ken and the team will still be there when they debut.
- It’s not clear whether the graphics used in the trailer reflect the graphics in the game (it seems a bit too detailed, but it’s possible), but in a way it shows a difference. change. The models are more realistic, Ryu looks older (and bearded, a look Capcom has tried before), and the entire franchise seems to be moving away from the brush style that defined many previous entries. .
Next look at 6 . street fighter arrives in Sony’s June 2022 State of Play, where we get the good vibes of the street art, neon, hip-hop style this game will have. It shows off a few characters, including returning fan favorites like Chun-Li and Ryu, but the big reveal is that the open-world World Tour mode takes place in Metro City. There are a few pre-match character trailers and quick cutscenes of some moves, combos, and combat specials, but no HUD is shown yet.
The 2022 Summer Game Festival continues State of Play with the first personal reveal trailer for street fighter 6, the man whose theme goes with everything, Guile. Sporting a new goat, we see Guile take on Luke and Ryu on his iconic airship stage. He shows off his iconic Flash Kick and Sonic Boom moves, plus a bunch of new techniques and a super hit before ending the match by retouching his hair.
The core of 6 . street fighter It should come as no surprise – it’s a fighting game. You will engage in fights, perform combos, perform super moves, shoot bullets and all the typical things you would expect. However, one cool new feature that might help newbies is the addition of a second control scheme. The classic controls will operate in the traditional six-button layout the series has always used, with button combinations that pull out special movements, but a new modern control scheme simplifies that. .
Modern controls do not require the player to memorize or practice complex movements to make moves. Instead, special moves are mapped to a single button, and by changing the direction you’re moving or the situation you’re in when you press it, you’ll perform another special move.
The new master has arrived 6 . street fighter is something called the Powertrain, which looks a bit like the mechanical Focus from Street Fighter 4, visually at least. Drive is a meter that you can use to do one of five things: Driving Impact, Driving Partition, Speeding, Rushing Driving, or Reversing Drive. These all have different inputs but all draw from the same Drive meter, which means you’ll need to allocate it depending on whether you want to use it defensively or offensively.
A new type of single player mode for 6 . street fighter takes the form of World Tour mode. Place your character, customizable, on the streets of Metro City, where you can freely run around and explore the environment in an open-world setting. We saw lots of environments to explore, crates to break, and the ability to start fighting NPCs. What the story is, who you play as, and what kind of progress or purpose the open world serves here have all remained a mystery to this day.
This mode is basic area versus area 6 . street fighter, where you will defeat other opponents. In addition to normal matches, there will also be Extreme Battles, where players can customize matches with unique rules and gimmicks, such as having bombs appear randomly during a fight. war.
A new social element for 6 . street fighter is the Battle Center. This area is where you can meet, chat, and access the Fighting Ground in a digital environment using the same avatar you created for the World Tour mode. In addition to socializing and starting matches with others, you can also play some classic Capcom arcade games, buy cosmetic items, and enter tournaments.
If you remember, 5 street fighter only one so many of the DLC continues throughout the day, with many new and returning characters being added. That eventually adds up to a total of 46 playable characters, more than any other game in the series before. Capcom has indicated that gamers can expect an even larger lineup for the game 6 . street fighter and it will again be a combination of old and new characters. This is also likely to happen during an extended rollout, so don’t expect every option to happen overnight.

Technically, we can’t say the listing is 100% legit until Capcom itself publishes anything; however, Capcom responded to it with a Tweet via the official Street Fighter the account was essentially a wink and a nod to its legitimacy, plus Guile was leaked and later confirmed. Except for the 18 confirmed launch characters, that will be added later:
