After being revealed as a Super Smash Bros. character in Nintendo’s E3 Direct earlier this month, Kazuya was accurately represented by the game Directed by, Masahiro Sakurai. During normal times “Mr. Sakurai Presents,” Sakurai took a peek at Kazuya’s various abilities before announcing that he’s joining the game tomorrow, along with four new Mii battle outfits and his next Smash Amiibo Nintendo.
Players will soon be able to start defeating Pikachu with Tekken’s Kazuya. Boxer arrives in the game on Tuesday, June 29 and will be immediately available to anyone with a second battle pass. Kazuya can be purchased off the card for $6.
Along with Kazuya, four new Mii warrior outfits are being added to the game, with each costing just under $1. Starting tomorrow, players will be able to dress up as their swordplay character like Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia, Dragonborn from Skyrim, and surprisingly Dante from the Devil May Cry series. Dante is one of many characters that some fans are hoping will be added to the game, along with Shantae, who will appear in the game as a costume for the Mii Fighter fighter variant.
Today’s Smash presentation also revealed the status of the game’s upcoming Amiibo. Sakurai revealed that the Amiibo for Min Min, the first character in the game’s second fighter card, will be released sometime next year. However, he did not specify how long it would take for the other Amiibos in that fighter’s pass, including Minecraftby Steve or Final Fantasy VIIof Sephiroth, for his release.
With Kazuya’s revelation, there’s only one place left for a new character in Super Smash Bros.. According to Sakurai, that position will be filled in 2021. In the final moments of today’s rollout, Sakurai revealed that SupremeThe final character of at least will be announced this year.
