If you’ve ever played a D&D campaign (or an RPG in general), you know how important choosing the right class is. Each has its pros and cons, for you to choose according to your preferred playstyle. Classes in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands gel together in two different ways. But the choices you make during character creation can have a lasting effect on your entire game.

First, you’ll choose a class and Twist of Fate (your character’s backstory). You will then allocate 10 free stat points in a manner that you deem appropriate. So the different classes in Tiny Tina’s WonderlandsWhich Twists of Fates should you choose, and how should you allocate your initial stats?

Classes in Tina’s Wonderland

There are six unique classes in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, each with a passive class feat and two action skills. You’ll have access to your first action skill from the start but won’t unlock the second until you level up.

Class feats are your class’s unique ability. However, you cannot trigger layer feats with specific button inputs. They are passive abilities that are always active or triggered by another action. Each class also comes with a simple level up tree like any other RPG you’ve ever played.

As you level up, you’ll earn stat points and skill points to allocate accordingly. Stats points go into your strength, dexterity, intelligence, etc., while skill points are assigned along your skill tree.

After you choose your class, you will choose your Twist of Fate, which is basically your character’s backstory. Twists of Fate gives you bonus stat points for specific abilities while bringing others down. For example, The Village Idiot (seen above) gives us +8 strength but -3 intelligence.

How do stats work in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?

Stats like strength and dexterity govern various abilities in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Understanding how they work and what they buff is important when building your first character.

  • Strength: Increases your crit damage
  • Dexterity: Increases your crit chance
  • Smart: Increases your spell’s cooldown
  • Intelligence: Increases your status (or elemental) effect damage
  • Constitution: Increases your max HP and wards (your protection class)
  • Attunement: Increases the cooldown of your action skills (you can use them more often with high healing)

Constitution and wages are two indicators that are suitable for all classes and should be leveled up accordingly. Don’t ignore the HP and cooldown of the action skill for extra critical damage.

Before start

Before starting your journey, you will have to allocate 10 stat points. Pay attention to the right side of the screen, as the game will tell you which stats are best for which class. For example, Stabbomancers, Clawbringers, and Brr-Zerkers benefit from buffs. On the other hand, Newborn Spellshots and Graves benefit from increased intelligence. You can choose Twist of Fate again if your first choice doesn’t match the recommendations. For example, a Spellshot shouldn’t be a Village Idiot either.

Skip the Twist of Fate screen, look at your stats, and then come back for the best results. Thankfully, you won’t have to reallocate those stats if you go back and you can see how your Twist changes things up. To us, it looks like these screens should be inverted.

Keep in mind, classes in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands doesn’t work like tried and true RPG classes. For example, there are no classic healers, tanks or assassins. While you could call the Stabbomancer a “killer,” it doesn’t quite apply.

That being said, let’s dive into the different layers in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsdissect their skills, and determine the stats and Twists of Fate is the best.

The Stabbomancer

The Stabbomancer class from Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Stabbomancer acts like a melee/stealth class with increased critical hit chance.

  • Class Feat: Increases Critical Hit Chance
  • Action skill one: Ghost Blade – Throws a spinning blade that deals melee damage to surrounding enemies based on your equipped weapon.
  • Second Action Skill: From the Shadows – Invisible and automatically deals critical hits. However, critical damage is reduced.

Stabbomancer benefits from increased strength, dexterity, and intelligence. Stabbomancer focuses on increasing critical and elemental weapon damage rather than casting spells. For that reason, The Village Idiot is the best Twist of Fate for the Stabbomancer. From there, you can allocate 10 of your stat points to dexterity and wisdom.

The claw

Clawbringer Class from Tiny Tina's Wonderland.

Also known as Thor, Clawbringer focuses on melee status effects/gun damage.

  • Class Feat: Wyvern Companion – You go with Wyverns (small dragons) that fly around and deal fire damage to enemies.
  • Action skill one: Clearing Fire – Summons a hammer and smashes it to the ground to create a flame that deals melee damage to nearby enemies.
  • Second Action Skill: Judgment of the Storm Dragon – Throw your hammer (like Thor) and deal lightning damage (like Thor) to any enemy it touches. The hammer attaches where it lands and deals AOE lightning damage per second to nearby enemies. Revive the hammer by pressing R1 again (or your designated action skill button).

According to the game, the Clawbringer benefits from increased power and constitution. However, we think they benefit from wisdom more than anything. Clawbringer is all about elemental damage. You can go one of two directions from here: Do you want to be a magic-powered Clawbringer or a gunplay/melee-focused Clawbringer?

Clawsbringers who cast spells can select Failed Monk Twist of Fate and then make up for lost Strength stats. On the other hand, Clawbringers that focus on melee can choose the Forged Alchemist and invest their 10 stat points into the lost constitution. Really, Clawbringer benefits from every Twist except Elevate by Elves and Recover Stockpiles, which don’t offer much of a benefit.

Spellshot

Spellshot Class from Tiny Tina's Wonderland.

Spellshot is the closest class to the classic mage classes in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

  • Class Feat: Spell Weaving – When you cast a spell or reload (which you usually do), you gain increased magic damage that stacks with each cast and reload. These stacks decay over time.
  • Action skill one: Polymorph – Turns an enemy into a harmless enemy for a few seconds.
  • Second action skill: Ambi-Hextrous – Equip second magic (hotkey for action skill button).

You’ll have to grind levels with the Spellshot class to unlock Ambi-Hextrous. However, you’ll be able to cast two-handed magic like a real Wonderland mage once you do.

Usually, Spellshot benefits from increased intelligence and dexterity. However, you should also consider wisdom, as most spells deal elemental damage. Therefore, Failed Monk Twist of Fate is the best choice for Spellshots. Invest your remaining stat points in dexterity and resilience to cast spells left and right (literally).

The Graveborn

Graveborn's Classroom from Tina's Wonderland.

Graveborn is the dark magic class in Tiny Tina’s Wonderland.

  • Class Feat: Demi-Lich Companion – You travel with a floating Demi-Lich that deals dark magic damage in a wide range.
  • Action skill one: Dire Sacrifice – Sacrifices part of your HP to deal black magic damage to surrounding enemies. You will also apply dark magic status effects to surrounding enemies.
  • Second Action Skill: Reaper of Bones – Heals himself completely and effectively increases Leech (HP absorption) and dark magic damage. However, you will gradually lose HP until you die. But when you normally die, you will become invulnerable for a short time and recover a small amount of HP. This is definitely one of the action skills related to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and one that you’ll need to get used to.

Like Spellshot, Graveborn benefit from increased intelligence and intelligence, thus reinforcing their status effect damage. It’s also worth investing in the constitution, as more health means more time for the Reaper of Bones. Therefore, the best Graveborn Twist of Fate is Failed Monk. From there, invest your stat points in constitution and wisdom, as you’ll deal more AOE status damage than direct crit damage.

The Spore Warden

The Spore Warden class from Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

The Spore Warden acts as the group’s ranged specialist.

  • Class Feat: Mushroom Companion – You’ll summon an adorable yet terrifying mushroom friend who attacks and deals poison damage to enemies.
  • Action skill one: Barrage – Simultaneously fires seven double-firing spectral arrows between surrounding enemies.
  • Second Action Skill: Snowstorm – Creates three icy vortexes to search surrounding enemies and deal frost damage.

The Spore Warden benefits from increased dexterity and serviceability. However, players should also make an intellectual investment if they use Blizzard’s abilities. But if you’re more of a Barrage skill, invest in strength instead. You can go in a number of different directions with the Spore Warden based on the action skill you prefer – Village Idiot or Rogue Alchemist. Then allocate your stats to enhance dexterity in both cases.

Brr-Zerker

The Brr-Zerker class from Tiny Tina's Wonderland.

As the name suggests, Brr-Zerker deals damage while frozen.

  • Class Feat: Rage of the Ancients – When you activate your action skill, you become enraged and deal extra frost damage to all your attacks
  • Action skill one: Dreadwind – You spin around, slashing anything nearby with your melee weapon.
  • Second Action Skill: Feral Surge – Jumps forward and deals frost damage to all nearby enemies.

As a Brr-Zerker, the game requires you to invest in strength, dedication, and salary. However, you should also consider the wisdom to enhance your frost damage. Therefore, choose a Rogue Alchemist or a Village Idiot Twists of Fate, and then allocate your stats based on those unaffected (or corrupted) by your Twist.
