With E3 behind us, Microsoft decided to dig deeper into its recently announced updates and titles at an Xbox Games Showcase after the event.
Not only are we seeing more games from upcoming Xbox games, but we’re also getting more information on decisions and behind-the-scenes work on certain titles, along with some release date reminders and a number of surprises. Microsoft also goes deeper into games like Microsoft Flight Simulator, Battlefield 2042, and more. Here are six highlights from the show.
Forza Horizon 5 Early Access
Forza Horizon 5 has been a must have for racing game fans and now they can get early access if they wish. By purchasing the premium version or the premium version’s add-ons, players will be able to play the new Forza in the days leading up to its holiday season release on November 9.
Relaunch Xbox Design Lab
The Xbox Design Lab is a great asset for Xbox One owners who want to create their own custom controller. After the show took a little hiatus in 2020 to bring in a few updates, it returns today and gives fans the ability to customize the Xbox Series X controller | S next generation. Players can now also add a custom engraving to their controller for an extra $10.
A closer look at Psychonauts 2
Psychonauts 2The gameplay of the game has been more explored, showcasing new abilities and environments that players will go through when the game is finally released. As fans initially expected, they will play protagonist Razputin Aquato, and will go into the souls of different characters to help them in various ways.
Old enemies like the Moderator are back, along with new ones like Doubt, Bad Ideas, and Regrets. The showcase also assessed Razputin’s abilities. includes his psychic punches, explosions, pyrokinesis and flying, along with plot details and tons of different environments.
New details about The Anacrosis
Anacrosis, a The four-player co-op shooter, which also appeared at the show, offers more details on the upcoming sci-fi title. The game is being called “infinitely replayable” and the systems that contribute to this have been shared.
The “AI driver” is the key component that brings this roguelike system together. It is said to be what drives everything that happens in the game, including item placement, creatures, health sets, and perks. This allows the game to be a different experience from play through to play through.
It is also an adaptive system, so it will analyze the gameplay and abilities of you and your team and change the game accordingly.
A story about the plague fans and newcomers not only next part, A Plague Tale: Requiem, to look forward to, but also a free update. Original A Plague Tale: Innocence not just coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, but also Nintendo Switch via the cloud version. The free next-gen update is available to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners.

Age of Empires 2 is receiving an update that adds two more civilizations, Bohemians and Pulse, and three new campaigns. This expansion can be paid for separately, but it is also free for those who pre-order Age of Empires 4.
Age of Empires 3 will also receive future expansions with new civilizations and campaigns, although they are not yet ready to be detailed.
Age of Empires 4 also reveals its remaining starting civilizations, the Holy Roman Empire and the Rus, as well as its campaigns, “Rise of Moscow” and “Mongolian Empire”. This gives the title a total of eight civilizations and four campaigns at launch.
